Carriacou

We checked out of the Grenadines at Union Island and sailed south to a small island named Petit Martinique. Stopped at a tiny spit of sand and did some snorkeling before lunch. That is where we got the idea to fake a deserted isle scene. Cute huh? Planned on staying at Petit M. but the town and shore was very dirty and uninviting. So we moved right on to the next island, Carriacou (care-re-coo). Much cleaner and pleasant. This is the 1st point to clear customs for Grenada. Tomorrow we sail to the bottom of Grenada and will spend several days exploring. It is 15 miles long by 8 miles wide, very mountainous any very tropical. It is famous for spices (especially nutmeg). This will be a chance for inland tours as opposed to ocean only. Have really enjoyed all your comments, so please keep them coming.      Steve
