Carriacou

We checked out of the Grenadines at Union Island and sailed south to a small island named Petit Martinique. Stopped at a tiny spit of sand and did some snorkeling before lunch. That is where we got the idea to fake a deserted isle scene. Cute huh? Planned on staying at Petit M. but the town and shore was very…

Out of touch a few days

Have some catching up to do. My last blog was from Bequia. Since then we sailed down to the Tobago Cays. On the way we caught a nice tuna that we have enjoyed eating. The Cays are a marine park. They have a horseshoe reef that wraps around an anchorage. It appears that you are anchored in the ocean. The…

The sun is mostly shining.

The rain is moving off and the sun has become less shy. It has been difficult to get towels to dry with the regular rain showers. The weather charts look good for a period of time. So, keep your fingers crossed. The new photos are of a random variety. One is of an older local that never has had a…

The entire staff at the Marigot Bay Moorings Base were very helpful…

Got Stuff?

Heck yeah! This morning, got a call from the shipping agent that the crate may be pick-up-able after 2:30 pm today. So at 2:30 another call wanting to know where I was and how soon I could get there. Forty minutes later all the gear was loading onto the Bella Gatta. I had forgotten exactly how much stuff was crammed…

Alive and well in St. L

Got down to St. Lucia late Monday evening after long flights and a few delays. The crate with all my cruising gear arrived yesterday and should be cleared through customs by Friday (hopefully). The late crate gives the Charter Base time to finish some leftover phase-out items that would allow the Bella Gatta to leave in good shape. In the…
